  • What do I get included in my package?

    • Accommodation

      A room in a lovely guesthouse - clean bathroom, shower, internet, living room, beautiful garden.

    • Food

      3 meals a day provided - Breakfast (toast, cereals fresh fruit and fry up Fridays) lunch is sandwiches and dinner is Bolognese, gratin, thai curry and local pilaf stews (lovely home cooking basically)

    • Transport

      All transport to and from sites is provided for you

    • Training

      All training and support upon arrival and through out your stay

    • Activities

      All activities are included, from safaris in a national park, trip to lakes and the beaches

  • What's not included

    Flights and insurance (that's it!). However we can help you organise flights through our travel agents. As for insurance, we introduce you to Mind The Gap Year who offer a tailor made combination of insurance and services for volunteering, studying and working overseas, the insurance also provides an option to extend your policy whilst already abroad.

  • How long is the stay?

    You can choose, anything up to 8 weeks, but whatever period suits you.

  • When can I come?

    We run 5 cycles. Each one is 2 months long and volunteers can come for 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks of that cycle.

  • Fundraising

    We always suggest you use your fundraising as a method to begin the process of your creative project. For example if your a photogprapher put on an exhibition on your preperation for an adventure.Or if your a dancer put on a show based on a journey to africa...you get the idea, your journey begins here.Use this as an opportunity to develop your craft and the practical skills required to share your work to audiance. These skills will come in handy when your sharing the young peoples work that you have developed. If you need any help thinking of some fundraising ideas, please let us know and we'll be happy to help

  • How Can I Secure My Place?

    Get in touch as soon as possible there are only ever 8 places available at one time

    When we have had our initial meeting and you are happy that you have received all the relevant information then there shall be a brief interview, once completed we require a deposit of £400 followed by an interim payment of £500 3 months before departue and the remaing balance to be paid a full calender month before departure.

  • Your Safety

    We have completed a detailed risk assessment of the programmes in order to prevent any harm to our volunteers. In doing so we have considered transport (our own) , site security and safety, environment, activities,medical needs and arrangements if activities. However it is important to state that despite our home being guarded. We have always found that being part of a community is integral to ensuring a real safety network around our home.
